Couples Therapy
“Are you there for me?”

Couples Therapy
Most couples have a point in their relationship where they get stuck in a negative “dance.” They find themselves having the same conflict over and over, or reach a crisis point where they aren’t sure they can continue this way, or someone has withdrawn/shut down. Couples therapy is not a “magic pill,” but is truly a beautiful collaboration and can break the negative cycle or “dance,” and create something new, a new way to enjoy and revive your connection. Relationships reflect so much about who we are, and how we have learned to feel safe and connected with others. I have training in both Level 1 of Gottman Method as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy, and use both of those techniques depending on what each couple’s presenting problems are. I focus on understanding what hurts you, and how your interaction with one another triggers your attachment system.
